It's amazing how well you can feed yourself and your family with a few dollars worth of seeds.
It's seed planting time! In fact I'm a bit behind on getting my transplants started - maple season consumed my time - but better late than never.
Do you ever feel like you're doing something kind of futile when you put those hard little seeds into a planter? You think, "they're not going to grow." Then, doesn't it make the miracle of them coming up out of the ground just that much better!?!
Wow! What a setup! What do you have planted?
ReplyDeleteI just have jalapeno's started and I need to plant some onions under the grow light this weekend. I have peas and brussels in the ground - we have to wait for everything else.
It looks great!
It always amazes me and thrills me deep in my soul to watch the seeds sprout, grow and provide food for us! :)
ReplyDeleteI always worry that they won't come up,but they do. I love watching my garden grow.
ReplyDeleteWe have shelves with grow lights set up underneath them it works well, but the plants sometimes "reach" for the light. Next year I hope to have a real greenhouse - we're building it out of old windows and it'll be heated by a woodstove!
ReplyDeleteI've planted just about everything you can think of. I was going to plant my cabbage, watermelon, and cantaloupes but found that I have to wait a bit as they do horribly if they get rootbound.
