Lovely Winter

Last night the snow gently fell.  It was a night when the wind held off and when the sun came up snow coated every twig and branch.  My camera doesn't do it justice.  Beautiful!

Black are my steps on silver sod;
Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
Are frosted like a wedding cake.

-from "Winter Time" by Robert Louis Stevenson
